about

Robert Maraziti is a painter, designer, and art director based in Weston, Florida, whose career spans decades of creative work across fine art and design. He studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and later earned his MFA while pursuing postgraduate painting studies at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.

Maraziti’s professional career took shape in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, where he developed his voice as both a painter and art director. In 1989, he was invited to the prestigious Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado, where he spent two years as an artist in residence, fully immersed in his painting practice. He remained in the Roaring Fork Valley for a decade, during which time he also served as creative director and founding principal of a national design firm based in Aspen.

In 2012, Maraziti established his studio practice in Miami, Florida, later relocating to Weston, where he continues to live and work. From 2020 to 2022, he expanded his artistic practice as an artist in residence at the Studio 18 Art Complex in Pembroke Pines. Alongside his studio work, he served as Senior Art Director for Oceania Cruises from 2012 to 2023. His work has received numerous national awards for design excellence and is included in both public and private collections throughout the United States and internationally.

In addition to his accomplishments in the arts, Maraziti enjoyed a distinguished 25-year rugby career as a player, coach, and club leader. He competed with top teams in the United States and abroad, including University of Cincinnati RFC, Greystones RFC (Ireland), Los Angeles RFC, the Bay Area Touring Side (BATS) San Francisco, the California Poppies Select Side, and the Gentlemen of Aspen RFC. He was selected for BATS on their historic 1978 international tour of Russia, Italy, England, and Wales, and concluded his playing career with a decade-long tenure at the club.

Following his playing career, Maraziti remained deeply involved in the sport, serving as both coach and club chairman of the Gentlemen of Aspen. He was a founding member in the formation of the USA Rugby Super League and served as chairman when the club achieved a historic triple crown in 1997—winning the National Championship, Super League title, and Ruggerfest. In these leadership roles, he helped guide the club to sustained success, leaving a lasting impact on the organization and the broader rugby community.
